As We Rise
Commissioned by the Rose Kennedy Greenway, Boston, to create a hyperlocal projection piece installed on the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. The work featured local breakdancers from various breaking crews around Boston.
Extending from the Acts of Holding Dance series, it was important that As We Rise, upheld the same mission statement to its predecessor. Which was, to highlight the local community of dancers and bring an elevated viewership to their practice within the urban scene that the work is installed in.
This was actualised through the working with local not-for-profit organisation,The Flavour Continues, who put forward a total of five breakers from different crews practicing within Boston.
This projection installation was commissioned by the Rose Kennedy Greenway, Boston.
